Cover of The New Maturity magazine, volume one, 2026, with a black background. The title is at the top in large white letters, and below it is the subtitle "Celebrating Queer Aging with Pride." The central illustration features a stylized red and black drawing of a person sitting cross-legged, with an abstract, sketchy outline. The person is holding a tall, tiered cake or stacked objects, also in red and black, which is placed directly in front of their face. The caption at the bottom reads "The Expanding Life."

About

The Expanding Life collects five observations on queer life after fifty, drawn from Season Four of The New Maturity podcast. Guy Branum. Suzanne Ford. Peter Som. Liz Glazer. David Roussève. Nine conversations boiled down to what stayed with us after the microphones turned off.

This isn't a transcript. It's a magazine. Hand-illustrated watercolors from snow days at home. A layout built for slow reading, not scrolling.

Only 54 copies exist. When they're gone, we'll open a digital edition instead.

A podcast lives in your ears for an hour, then it's gone. A magazine sits on your coffee table. You dog-ear a page. You hand it to a friend. There's somethings a screen can't do. This allows for reflection and dreaming.
